In this blog, I'll tell you "How to run android apps on windows PC?".

There are various android emulators available on internet and all have there own advantages and disadvantages.
Some of the popular emulators are:

Now lets take them one by one...

It is one of the most popular android emulator available on internet. They have improved a lot since its launch (advantage: as it shows that developers are active) but it still has some bugs. It is in its beta stage and hence its free but nothing can be said about its future (disadvantage: it may turn in a paid app player like YouWave).
Users (Windows & Mac) who just want to be able to use android apps and not the full android OS can use it. It allows you to run almost all the android apps on your computer (Windows & Mac).
It also has cloud connect to Google Play Store. Hence it becomes easier to download and install apps.
You can download it from here (Windows & Mac).

It is the next generation of AndroVM open source project. It is a quality rich and simple product. It is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
It is a hardware-accelerated android emulator. It is designed to let you have an experience of Android in top-selling devices and hence its an excellent choice for developers.
It relies upon the resources of the virtual box which can be downloaded with it from their website. You need to first sign up for their free account to download it.

It is another android emulator but you don't need to setup virtual box and all that.
You just need to download it and install it on your PC. Open the app and it will work in a full screen android system.
Play Store isn't the part of this package but installation of Amazon AppStore is easy to do.

It is a very good android emulator which is available as generic ISO files that have been customized to support specific x-86 laptops and tablets.
It includes access to Play Store.
These generic ISO work nicely inside virtual box(download here). So, you can run them as live CD (no need to do full installation).

If you are familiar with android than you may got the hint that this android emulator works on android jelly bean.
This emulator is quite popular in developer's community and it also include Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager which is a hardware accelerator for Intel based machines and hence improves emulator performance.
It has Play Store integrated to install apps directly. Its works on high resolution (1280*768).
Download it from here.

Any discussion about the android emulators will be incomplete without mention to the official android SDK.
It is primarily used by developers but you can still go ahead and use it for running casual android apps. However its not that simple to use but you can give it a try.
It doesn't have access to Play Store. So you have to download apk files and then upload it in emulator which is quite cumbersome. Don't have too many expectations from it, though it is from Google, it doesn't have good reviews from users.
